07/11/2025 New
At the 2025 annual meeting of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), several projects from ELH received awards:
A Summa Cum Laude Merit Award was presented for the abstract “An Anatomically Shaped 16-Channel Receive Array Coil for UHF Shoulder Imaging at 7T” by Markus May, Luca Wessing, Oliver Kraff, and ELH Director Harald H. Quick. In this project, a prototype of a novel shoulder coil for a 7T MRI system was developed. The award was accepted on behalf of the team by Markus May, who also presented the project at the conference. The abstract was recognized as one of the best internationally in its category for 2025.
In addition, two further projects involving ELH were honored with the Magna Cum Laude Merit Award: “Ultimate Intrinsic SNR in the Torso of a Realistic Body Model” (Markus May, ELH PI Mark Ladd, and Stephan Orzada), and “Inversion Recovery-Prepared Q-Space Trajectory Imaging of the Human Brain” with ELH PI Mark Ladd.
These prestigious awards are given to postdocs and PhD students whose submissions rank among the top 5% (Summa Cum Laude) and 15% (Magna Cum Laude) in their respective major categories.
Our heartfelt congratulations to all awardees!
