Not just theory, but hands-on practice too: Doctoral students from across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) gathered at the Erwin L. Hahn Institute for MRI (ELH) on 26–27 February 2026 to deepen their knowledge of MRI and exchange insights with experts. The annual event by the DACH section of the ISMRM was hosted by the ELH this time.

Two days of exciting lectures and hands-on sessions focused on the development and application of MRI hardware. The PhD training also provided a great opportunity for all participants to network and exchange ideas with like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere.

The scientific programme was rounded off with a joint dinner and a guided tour of the Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage Site.
