Last week, the Erwin L. Hahn Institute for MRI had the pleasure of welcoming the newly elected chancellor of the University of Duisburg-Essen, Ulf Richter, for the first time. Purpose of the visit was to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere.

Ulf Richter was received by the institute’s managing and scientific directors, Harald H. Quick and David Norris respectively, as well as ELH manager Franziska Günther. Following a presentation of the ELHs and the scientific work conducted on and with the 7 Tesla MAGNETOM Terra, which the chancellor showed great interest in, the visit concluded with a trip to the MRI system, where Mr. Richter was able to "feel" the magnetic field himself using an aluminum plate.
